In today's "stress laden" busy world, we all need a way of unwinding and keeping our minds and bodies fit and active. Dancing is a pleasurable way of achieving these aims whilst at the same time giving us the opportunity to meet others and expand our social horizons. Can there be a more enjoyable way of exercising our heart and lungs and toning up our muscles. Did you know that an evening on the dance floor can easily use up over 600 calories whilst at the same time, in right environment and with the right music, transporting your mind to different worlds and even a different outlook on life.
At our dance sessions we cover a wide range of dance styles, including some of the more traditional Ballroom varieties such as the Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot and Tango. We also teach the Ballroom jive, Leroc jive and the more moody West Coast Swing style of jiving and for those of you with a taste for “Latin” we teach Samba, Salsa, Rumba, Paso doble and the Cha-cha. We have recently started teaching Ballet,Tap and "Street dance" as well as" Dancercise" routines for those of you who would like to use dance as part of your fitness regime.
We offer classes for complete beginners, through to the more challenging classes for the more experienced dancers who are looking to refine their existing artistic skills, gain medals or certificates or just expand their repertoire to include new moves or dance styles. Our classes are very informal and every body is welcome.
